Mandala Retreat April 1st – 9th 2018

Join Maureen and Aizhan for a five day exploration of sacred arts and Sattva yoga. We’ll dive deep into the practice and use specific techniques to open our channels of creativity. Daily yoga, meditation and time in nature will be the tools for receptivity, creation and expansion. We'll work with different mediums to create mandalas and other channeled works of art. 

All are welcome! Come with an open heart and mind. All art materials will be provided.

Maureen Walsh is an artist, yogi and healer. She has a fine arts degree in textiles from the Savannah College of Art and Design and ran her own design studio in Brooklyn, New York for ten years. She left the states four and a half years ago to explore and has been traveling the world studying different cultures, art forms and healing modalities ever since. She was divinely led to Sattva in November of 2016 and returned in 2017 to complete her 300 hour yoga training. She’s currently involved in the Sattva gurukul program where she’s creating murals and other art pieces for the retreat center. Sattva yoga and Anand’s teachings have opened the door to a magical world of creativity and flow. Maureen is passionate about sharing the connection between yoga and art, using the practice to guide others back to their natural state of divine creation.


Having met Anand in 2011 Aizhan fully dived into studying wisdom of the Sattva yoga. Ever since she had numerous trainings with Anand in India: 200H and 300H Sattva teacher trainings, Sattva yoga Master training, Warrior of Wisdom, Diwali retreat, New Year retreat, Norway retreat, was a part of motorbike tours “4 Sacred peaks” in 2012 and “Into the mystery of existence” in 2014, Sattva summit. She regularly comes into India to study with the Master, to deepen her practice and to share her experience with Sangha. All these years of studying yoga philosophy and wisdom helped Aizhan awaken her creative side along with mastering her teaching practice. Sattva Yoga has become an integral part of her life, and her sincerity, creativity, simplicity and mild nature made her a vital member of the Sattva community.
